To ensure the safety of our competitors and other road users, a very small road closure will be in place between 7am-11am on Sunday 10th June.
This road closure will be inclusive of the King Edward’s Parade between Wilmington Square and Silverdale Road. A diverted route will be in place and stewards will be in place to help traffic identify the diversion route and continue their journey with minimal disruption.
The road closure is in place for all vehicles with the exception of emergency response and customers arriving and leaving the hotels on this stretch. In the event that you wish to access the hotels, you will be asked to slow to a stop to notify a steward before being allowed through to your destination. In the event you wish to leave the hotel, and you wish to travel west, you will be asked to turn left and left again to join the diversion before re-joining the main road 400m and continuing your journey.
Thank you for your understanding and if anyone is concerned about the road closures or impact to business, worship or care of animals or persons, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can support you continuing your journey.
